This post sure has been a long time in the making, I’ve come to realise though that a blog post doesn’t necessarily have to be a short essay on an event nor spiritual reflection upon life. This got me thinking and so Ive decided to update my blog with recent bits of photography.
An exciting opportunity with the Frahm.Ltd is now underway, an intriguing project based around a new venture by the Frahm brothers in which Facebook meet Google Art. I’ve got the lucky pleasure of being one of the 5/6 artists chosen to take images of exhibitions around some of London’s most established galleries. I’ll keep my blog updated with news from this.
Finally the most successful project of my 1st year was Peter Chadwick’s (CEO of Popular) brief which was to ‘redesign any 12″ album cover from throughout history’. A mammoth task in terms of selection, I opted for Joy Divisions Unknown Pleasures. Its was a great chance for me to explore an aspect of design which I had yet to touch on, that of uba-minimal and super-slick. The image below is the print layout of my final piece; constructed out of sand paper the 3 sleeves grate passed one another in order to reach the vinyl itself, the obscure pleasure of reaching the unknown within.
